Well, this is the third week in October and it seems like the year is slipping away from us. We are busy, joyous, stressed, excited, and encouraged on how everything is shaping up. Our house did sell, through many blessings, and closing was last week. We are blessed for sure!
The ministry is going well, we are learning a lot about this side of ministry... being the minister and not the volunteer. To coin the phrase "to see how the other half lived..." Our focus is on Jesus, plain and simple. We don't want it to be about us or what we want but about how the spirit leads. Hans is doing a great job, each week he get better at preaching. I say that laughingly because it is hard for me to not be critical of his sermons (as if I am the one that he is preaching to!) I wonder how other wives do it. (I have been reading the blog: http://youthminwives.blogspot.com) and they have some wisdom for me to use.) As you can read in this blog, I am not at a loss for words so it is easy for me to tell him how to say things or what to say or what not to say.
I am trying to stay organized but that is not happening very well. My role is still being defined (by me primarily). Like always, my expectations are higher than everyone else's... I feel like my kids are the ones getting the shaft- especially Abe. I need to be more intentional about spending time with him. I know I stay at home, but it can easily turn into a "go play while mommy cleans" day... we need to find our routine. Which leads me to say I am a creature of habit and I find a lot of comfort in it. Does that mean I am getting old???? Don't answer that--- I will be 3o in less than 30 days. Its funny I don't feel a day over 20! Maybe a little more tired.
Okay, so, you know, if you have read the whole blog, that Jonah is in Cloth diapers- Fuzzi Bunz. Aside from the cute name and the cool colors, and the U.S. patent... NO CLOTH DIAPERS ARE FUN WHEN PRUNES ARE INVOLVED!!!! Today, I have cleaned up 2 of the messiest diapers and outfits (and our sheets) because of prunes. I think we will hold off on the prunes for awhile... maybe forever!
Funtimes here- like always, we are on fire! I get a kick out of Abe because I guess he has heard us say it over and over again this passed couple of months but he has enjoyed saying to us "i am so excited"!! That and I asked him what we do as a family and he said "eat dinner and go to church"! We will have to work on family fun time ;o)
