Goodbye...
One of the "casualties" of living in a state of student-hood is saying goodbye to friends who have graduated. We said goodbye to three friends today. Two of them are Abe's prized babysitters. They watch him because they love him- they don't get paid. Every Sunday, they are here with my boys and they spend a few hours lovin' on them. (Well, lovin' on Abe, it seems like they wrestle with Jonah!) Heidi will be going to Africa this summer on her internship and Danielle will be doing her internship up in Chicago. Either way, they will be missed. Now, Jim, graduated from seminary and Hans met him in class. Last summer after I had Jonah, they were in a video course together and he would come over once a week to watch the video- Scripture in Context. He will be in South Korea teaching English as a second language. We spent the 4th of July with Heidi and Jim last year and had a cookout and watched fire works. I will always remember that 4th because they had fun lovin' on Abe and I enjoyed watching them. They got Abe to say "That was Stupendous" when a fire work went off! Anyway, I am sad to see them go, but I understand the calling on their lives and appreciate the kingdom work they will be doing. Look for a posting on our trip to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago... we went there yesterday and I want to get my pictures downloaded to put with our trip!
