Is it being three that makes you so defiant? Or maybe our own human natures? We have deffinitely been initiated into a rebellious spirit in our child's heart. We did a battle with Abe for about 1 hour and 45 minutes last night. Mom asked me "who won?" Depending on your definition of winning- I am not sure! It was about nothing and everything and at the end Abe made it about "sleeping with Mommy and Daddy." Which we never have done just because (it's always been a reason like thunder storms, nightmares and etc.) So I guess from his perspective, we won (I think) because he finally went to sleep at 10:45. Everything starts anew the next day, right? Wrong! He woke up at 6:30 am and came marching into our room buck naked! Kind of like "I WILL do what I want!" He has been yelling at me "I WILL NOT DO IT" whenever I ask him to do something. Is this payback for me being a deffiant child? Lord, I hope not!
I have read books, prayed about it, and sought counsel so hopefully one of those tools will work. In the mean time, pray for us! We are raising a monster, apparently! I know those of you with teenagers are saying "just wait" and laughing (especially my own mother)! Sweet little Jonah just seems like an angel today :o)

hang in there! Oh, the joys of a 3 year old boy. Been there and getting ready to do it again. ;)
Stacy- Adaryll and I are so excited about your ministry opportunity! We are praying for your family. Have you read "Shepherding a Child's Heart" yet? It is a great book for dealing with what you are dealing with. Requiring immediate obedience the first time with a "yes ma'am" type thing.
Let me know how things are going!
Love,
Jennifer Jordan
