Well, what a weekend. Abe is at VBS, Hans is taking a walk praying with some buddies, and Jonah is sleeping... so what am I doing- blogging!
For 5 days now I have been using cloth diapers. A lot of my friends use them out here and I always picked on them and said "not for me". Well peer presure is a very powerful thing (all those ads for "just say no" apparently did not work for me) and I decided to try them out! I love them! The clean up is not all that bad, actually, I mean who loves changing any diaper disposable or reusable? His little bum is not as red and it actually holds the pee in better! So I am borrowing some from my friend until I get enough money to buy my own. I have found some that I like called Fuzzi Bunz that I think are cool! You may say I am wierd but there are benefits like saving money!! Over the next 2 1/2 years, I will save around $2000- $3000. Double that if we have more! Not to mention the environment... 1800 tons of diapers get dumped into landfills across America- they do not break down- you will find pampers from when I was in them. Are you convinced- well what about the chemicals in the disposable? Have you ever wondered why the pee turns to gel? Think about that.
As if that is not exciting enough, we worshiped today at Mount Pulaski. It's hard to describe, but niether one of us have felt that much at home since Traders Point. It is a young congregation with lots of babies! I was able to meet and talk to a few moms while I was nursing Jonah. I don't think that I have ever gone to a church for the first time and met sooo many people. It felt like home as odd as that may sound. If we don't get the position, we may still go there- that's how much we liked it. Hans does have a meeting with the elders on Wednesday evening. So we'll keep praying. It feels as if God has gone before us on this one- which is always good! He has been faithful to me this week and brought me back to the book of Joshua in my study. I will say that before every transition I always manage to get to that book- unexpectedly! Only He can do that.
We had some "starving" college kids over for lunch after church and they always seem to bless our family. Abe loves it and I enjoy watching them enjoy him (if that makes any sense!)
We spent the remainder of the afternoon outside with the Nimrods watching our boys jump off the slide. Their friendship is priceless to us!
Exciting times here~~

You will soon be a cloth diaper junkie! I am sure Hans is way excited about saving the earth ;)! He threw his bottle to me to throw in my recycle bin yesterday as he and Jason whizzed past on the little cart.
You know I am excited about Mt. Pulaski. I am looking forward to hearing how the next meeting goes.
